Hello dolls!
So today, I am posting an excessive amount of photos because if you haven't noticed... I'M WEARING HEELS! Oh, no big dealz? No, not really, to most people. But here's the thing - if you're a new reader - I'm not a heels girl. At all. I've worn heels once or twice in my life - (and a few times they appeared on the blog..but I NEVER wore them in public. ever.) A while back I wore 2 inch heels out in public and all I got all day were weird stares from guys and remarks from older people "oh my god you're soooooooooo tall!!" embarrassing. like a tall person doesn't already know they're tall. There are tall girls all over the world but we are a rare breed in the south.

Anyways, I took the splurge and spent a heaping twenty bucks (yes, that is alot to me) on these wedges.. they were on sale on JCPenney.com and I snagged them up after three days of debating! The one thing that sent me over the edge to buy them was the Self Love Month that A is for Ampersand hosted all last month. It really got me thinking about how silly my phobia of heels is! So, I decided if I was going to go for it - I was going all the way. I am going to get what I want. So I bought these babies and here I am. Putting them on, I instantly felt sexy and so... confident. I've never felt confident in my entire life. So this was a major breakthrough for me that I just thought I'd share with you guys :). Oh and by the way (I've worn them all day.) ;)

  1. You look absolutely stunning! I love the wedges and that skirt is such a fantastic color, you're also making me miss my long hair hardcore. I too am a newbie to heels and can't wait to break out some wedges this spring!

  2. Haha as you might already know I can totally relate to being no heels girl! Okay, I don't avoid them because I'm tall (I'm so not! haha) but because I'm afraid of walking in them in public, but anyway I can totally relate to it though.
But I think they look amazing on you Lyndsey! You have the legs to wear such shoes, so why not? It's also a good thing they make you feel sexy and confident. There's no better effect a pair of shoes can cause!
Also every girl around the blogosphere seems to pull off mint green so effortlessly lately. This skirt and the way you combined it are so pretty! Love it!

  3. Love the heels! I rarely wear them either, as I'm also pretty tall. And they're hard to walk in. But I always feel fabulous when I do.

  4. That's incredible that you were able to over come your fear of wearing heels. If only just for one blog post. :)

  10. Where to begin..gorgeous gal! This post has me all kinds of swooning here:) This is one of my favorites from you most definitely with the combo of mint and purple...mint is my favorite color hands down. It's hard to believe you've only wore heels a couple times. I think I've been wearing them since middle school. At 5'2 I need all the height I can get. And can I say, not only are they a stunning pair, but they look utterly amazing on you. No need to not be confident...you are a beauty Lyndsey! And do I ever love that little GIF. Have one fabulous week lady! xx Marisa

  13. The heels look awesome on you and I'm in love with your mint skirt too. I need something mint colored in my life very soon.
Also, hell yes for wearing heels and being tall! Everyone is tall to me so I say go for it! I think tall girls not wearing heels is just like short girls not wearing flats. I got over the height thing a while back and I love flats. Therefore I say embrace your heels and height!
