I Took The Plunge..

..and cut my hair short!

(excuse my makeup-less face, I have a really bad sty at the moment!)

A few days ago, I posted on twitter that I wanted a different hair style. I was fed up with my hair. Completely sick of it! My hair was so dead/fried/hay-like/unhealthy and just all over the place. I know it's hard to believe from my photos but it was so rough to the touch.. almost like it had been bleached repeatedly. I couldn't stand it anymore.

I've been researching hairstyles that lean more towards the "retro" style. I wanted a more feminine approach and found these hairstyles on Rachel McAdams from different movie scenes online. Funny thing is, only after I saw the Google search results for The Notebook I realized it was her! I'm so ditsy sometimes.

After researching these hairstyles for two days, I watched one video on YouTube on how to cut layers. The next thing I know I have scissors in my hands and my hair was falling all around me on the floor. It felt so good to get it all off. It was a euphoric hair cut. Is that even possible?!

Anyway, I haven't really had time to style it exactly how I want to, so I've just let it flow naturally! It has been so bouncy and curly all day. I just love it and I feel so weightless!

  5. Love it!! I can't believe you cut it yourself! Heaven knows what my hair would look like if I took scissors to it. The medium length hair really looks great on you!

  6. I don't go without layers. I need them--too much hair. Glad you found something good for you hair. You should invest in some good shampoo & conditioner. Usually salons have deals where you can it together for a decent price.
